Overview
Please note that Oracle courses running at London training centres are subject to a 5% surcharge.
This course introduces students to the new features of Oracle Database 10g and Oracle9i Database. Detailed information on upgrading from Oracle8i to Oracle Database 10g is included. In this course, Database Administrators learn how to perform typical tasks using the new features available with Oracle Database 10g including many of the Advisors. Students learn how to use features to increase database availability, simplify database management, and improve performance.
Hands-on practice sessions provide students with an opportunity to upgrade an Oracle8i database to Oracle Database 10g and use many of the new features.
This course counts towards the Hands-on course requirement for the Oracle 9i Database Administrator and Oracle Database 10g Administrator Certification. Only instructor-led inclass or instructor-led online formats of this course will meet the Certification Hands-on Requirement. Self Study CD-Rom and Knowledge Center courses are excellent study and reference tools but DO NOT meet the Hands-on Requirement for certification.
