This course is the suggested follow-up to Oracle Application Server 10g R2: Administration I. The focus of this class is to introduce how to distribute Oracle Application Server components in different enterprise topologies to provide and maintain high availability, and scalability.

The participants learn about the recommended enterprise topologies, high availability, and disaster recovery features in Oracle Application Server. They learn about installing and maintaining high availability implementations such as OracleAS Cold Failover Cluster (Infrastructure), OracleAS Cold Failover Cluster (Middle Tier), OracleAS Cluster (Portal). The participants access and use Oracle Application Server monitoring and management tools.

This course is aimed at Web Administrators.

Prerequisites

Delegates are required to take the course below prior to taking the Oracle Application Server 10g R2: Administration II course.

Delegates will learn how to

• Configure, manage and perform invalidation requests in OracleAS Cluster (Web Cache)
• Clone and stage the Oracle Application Server
