This three-day instructor-led course provides students with the knowledge and skills to deploy Forefront security products. Audience This course is intended for technical professionals who are deploying Microsoft® Forefront™ security products. The Boot Camp will be conducted in a hands-on-lab-type environment in order to provide for maximum interactivity and includes technical content of Level 300 or higher.

After completing this course, students will be able to:
- Understand how Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG) 2007 (formerly Whale) provides secure, remote access for your clients.
- See how Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2006, provides network edge protection for customers and deployment versatility. Understand how Forefront Client Security provides integrated anti-virus, anti-spyware and security state assessment to provide unified desktop protection.
- See how Forefront Security for Exchange (formerly Antigen) provides superior protection for Exchange 2007.
- See how Forefront Security for SharePoint® (formerly Antigen) is configured to protect SharePoint 2007.
Course Outline
Module 1: Secure Remote Access with IAG 2007
This module explains how to configure, use and customize IAG 2007 to provide secure remote access to applications and data over SSL-VPN.
After completing this module, students will be able to:
- Create an SSL-Based Portal Web Site
- Add web and non-web applications to the Portal
- Configuring Endpoint detection policies
- Provide full network access over remote connections to a corporate network
- Customize the Look and Feel of the Portal
- Understand the details behind IAG 2007 Components, Trunks, Authorization and Security Features
Module 2: Network Edge Protection with ISA 2006
This module explains how to configure and use ISA 2006 for secure remote access, branch office security and internet access protection.
After completing this module, students will be able to:
- Publish Exchange and SharePoint sites using ISA 2006
- Configure HTTP Compression and Caching for ISA 2006
- Use the Flood Resiliency features of ISA 2006
- Understand the details behind Authentication, Web Listeners, Load Balancing, Application Prioritization, Compression, Flood Mitigation and Caching.
Module 3: Anti-Malware Protection for clients with Forefront Client Security
This module explains how to configure and use Forefront Client Security to protect business desktops, laptops, and servers from emerging threats, such as spyware and rootkits, as well as viruses and other traditional attacks.
After completing this module, students will be able to:
- Use Forefront Client Security to Protect Client Computers
- Use Policies to Manage Client Computers and update Signature Files
- Use the Alerting, Reporting and Monitoring features of Forefront Client Security
- Understand the details behind Policy and Signature updates in Forefront Client Security.
Module 4: Messaging and Collaboration System Threat Protection with Forefront Server Security
This module explains how to configure and use Forefront Security for Exchange Server and Forefront Security for SharePoint integrate to provide comprehensive, flexible protection for Exchange and SharePoint against viruses and other types of malware.
After completing this module, students will be able to:
- Configure protection for Exchange Servers with Forefront Security for Exchange
- Configure protection for SharePoint Servers with Forefront Security for SharePoint
- Understand the details behind Transport, Store and Mailbox Scanning for Exchange and VSAPI and File Filtering for SharePoint.
