Overview
This four-day instructor-led course provides students with the knowledge and skills to plan, install, and administer the Microsoft SoftGrid Application Virtualization Platform.
This course is intended for IT professionals.
Prerequisites
Before attending this course, students must have Basic Knowledge of Database Connectivity, basic knowledge of Windows operating systems. basic network administrative skills, Including the ability to: create/delete users from a Microsoft Active Directory® domain;install / troubleshoot applications and configure operating system options & settings
In addition, it is recommended, but not required, that students have trminal sevices/Citrix experience.
Delegates will learn how to
- Understand New Features and Benefits of SoftGrid 4.1
- Describe the elements of VAS and technology benefits of deploying a VAS environment.
- Complete a full installation of the SCVAS and Back-end Management components.
- Install and configure the Microsoft SoftGrid Application Virtualization Client.
- Create new objects from within the Microsoft SoftGrid Application Virtualization Management Console.
- Use a variety of advanced administration tools in the Microsoft SoftGrid Application Virtualization Platform.
- Install and configure the Microsoft SoftGrid Application Virtualization Sequencer.
- Install a hard coded application into a virtual environment and create a virtual environment for a Web-based application.
- Troubleshoot and fix common issues within the Microsoft SoftGrid Application Virtualization Platform.
