Overview
This three-day ILT course is aimed at administrators and developers who will be creating and maintaining an analytics solution for their organisation that will employ both Microsoft SQL Server Analysis server and ProClarity technologies. The course will allow the delegates to gain the knowledge to correctly design and build MSAS 2005 cubes which will lead to efficient and maintainable cubes that will perform well when browsed using ProClarity applications.
Prerequisites
Before attending this course, students must have:
- MCDBA (Microsoft Certified Database Administrator – SQL 2000) or MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist – SQL Server) certification or equivalent knowledge.
- Understanding of relational database concepts.
- Use of the MS SQL 2005 tools (Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio – SSMS and Business Intelligence Development Studio) would be a great advantage.

- Design a data warehouse structure geared towards Analysis Server
- Create dimensions and cubes
- Use the Business Intelligence Enhancements
- Browse the created cubes using ProClarity Standard client
- Create calculated items (KPI, members and sets)
