Overview
This one-day, instructor-led course will allow the delegate to install, deploy and develop policies to combat Web based viruses, perform content inspection and policy enforcement.
This course is designed for anyone who is responsible for installing and configuring a content security solution to regulate access to the World Wide Web.
Prerequisites
Delegates should have experience in Microsoft Windows 2000, TCP/IP Networking and Web server technologies.
Delegates will learn how to
- Understand and describe the key features of MIMEsweeper for Web.
- Understand and describe the architecture of MIMEsweeper for Web.
- Install MIMEsweeper for Web, ensuring the hardware and software pre-requisites are met.
- Configure MIMEsweeper for Web to meet the requirements of the organization’s security policies.
Leads to examination
This course will prepare you for the MIMEsweeper for Web CMA examination, which is included and taken at the conclusion of the course.
In the labs the delegate will gain hands-on experience in:
- Overview – Key features and benefits.
- Architecture – How MIMEsweeper for Web processes HTTP, HTTPS and Passive FTP.
- Installation – Install and deploy the product, network topology, licensing and services control.
- Securing your configuration – Preparing for policy configuration, browser and proxy configuration.
- Policy configuration – Policy principles and practice, a guide to developing and implementing policy.
