Overview
This two-day course introduces the Ajax architecture, and describes how Ajax combines existing standards-based client-side technologies including DHTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, XMLHttpRequest and JavaScript. At the server-side, the course describes how to create Ajax-compliant Web components using a range of technologies, including Java Enterprise Edition servlets and ASP.NET AJAX.
The course introduces several contemporary Ajax toolkits, including Prototype, Rico, and the Google Web Toolkit. The course also describes how to use Ajax design patterns to address common issues such as performance, usability, and where to place functionality.
