Overview

This course is designed for sales advisors who make calls selling products and services to clients where outbound calls made are a mixture of new prospects and renewals.

This one day programme will guide participants through the four key areas of desk based sales; opening the call effectively, holding interest, recognising buying signals and closing the sale. Participants of the programme will supplement their existing sales skills sets with additional tools and techniques to help them maximise their number of sales opportunities.

This workshop will be high impact and energetic. It will be very interactive, utilising a variety of training methods and techniques. Role play will be used to reinforce the learning.

  • describe the psychology of a sale
  • recognise what motivates you to get that sale
  • consider your opening pitch and how to build a value sale instantly
  • describe techniques for getting past the ‘gate keeper’
  • use advanced rapport building techniques to build rapport rapidly on each call
  • sell the benefits of the product, remaining adaptable and actively listening for opportunities
  • review advanced questioning techniques to maintain interest throughout the call
  • be able to solve problems and handle objections to progress the sales conversation
  • close the sale by recognising buying signs and guiding the customer through the sale
  • explain how to confirm back the agreed details and close the call professionally
  • overcome negative feelings associated with repeated rejection
  • develop a personal action plan to apply in the workplace
