  • Ian Johnson

    Ian is a chartered accountant and has over ten years’ experience in the IT training industry. Ian was a senior manager with Price Waterhouse in Manchester and between 1989 and 1992 Group Finance Director of Logitek plc, a group with a turnover of £85 million. He was a member of the management buy-in team of Expertise Group in 1993 and became Group Finance Director following the reverse takeover of that company by Xpertise Group PLC in January 1999. Ian was apppointed as Managing Director in October 2003.

    Bill is a key industry commentator on technology and its impact on businesses’ success. As Commercial Director of Xpertise, he spends a large proportion of his time talking to leading UK companies about their skills-development strategies, as well as working closely with the major software companies – including Microsoft, Oracle, Sun, HP, Red Hat and Citrix. Bill is also responsible for all enterprise sales and marketing activities within Xpertise. Bill took up this role in 2002 following a successful six-year stint at QA, where his last position was as technical director. He has a background in application development and consultancy for companies such as Praxis Systems and Deloitte and Touche Consulting. Bill sits on Microsoft’s CPLS Advisory Council in Redmond, WA. which sets the direction for Microsoft learning products and services. Bill holds a BSc(Hons) in Computer Science and is a Chartered Engineer.

    Ben joined Xpertise in 2002 and has been responsible for business integration following several acquisitions, developing the operational infrastructure that has supported the ongoing organic growth of Xpertise. He played a leading role in the development of the Group’s Learning Services division which provides a range of managed training services for enterprise scale clients. Prior to joining the Group, Ben held various roles at QA Plc, where as Operations Director he was responsible for training operations across the UK delivering over £40M of client training each year.

  • Phil Calladine

    Prior to being appointed as UK Sales Director at Xpertise, Phil directed the Power Education training business. Utilising his 15 year experience in the IT industry, he worked closely with key vendors such as Oracle, SCO, Citrix and IBM to successfully grow the business from small beginnings as part of the Sphinx CST group until merging with Xpertise Training in Dec 2002, by which time Power Education was an established £7M turnover business. Phil now manages one of the most successful sales teams in the IT Training industry achieving double digit % growth for successive years.

    Sue is a Chartered Management Accountant with over 15 years experience in accounting. Before joining Power Education as Financial Controller in 2001, Sue was the Business Reporting Manager at UKI Partnerships. When Power Education merged with Xpertise Training in 2002, Sue was instrumental in managing the successful merger of the Financal systems and in 2003 she was appointed Finance Director of Xpertise Training Limited. Sue is responsible for the financial controls of the business, the management and statutory accounts and providing management information.
