Xpertise has an enviable pedigree – we were one of the very first providers of accredited IT training in the UK and now, around 15 years later, we’ve grown to become a nationwide company which is recognised for its quality, service and value.
Xpertise timeline
1993
- Established (originally as part of The Xenon Group) with one location in the Northwest
- One of the UK’s first providers of accredited technical IT training (became one of the first Novell Authorised Training Centres)
1994
- Became Microsoft Solution Provider and Authorised Training Centre
1995
- Opened Northeast training centre
1996
- Opened Midlands training centre
1999
- Became an independent PLC, listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM)
2002
- Acquired key assets of Aris Education
- Merged with Power Education
- Independently recognised as one of the fastest-growing IT training companies in the UK, with around 180% growth
- Opened London training centre
- Microsoft’s Western European Training Partner of the Year 2002
- Became Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for Learning Solutions
2004
- Expanded London centre due to strong growth
2005
- Microsoft’s Western European Training Partner of the Year 2005
- Acquired niche soft skills training company Watermans
2006
- Microsoft’s Western European Training Partner of the Year 2006
2007
- £500,000 expansion of Leeds training centre
- Soft Skills programmes accredited by The Chartered Management Institute
- Xpertise trainer Steve Leach nominated as finalist for British Computer Society’s ‘Trainer of the Year’ award
- Xpertise director Bill Walker invited to join Microsoft’s Learning Partner Advisory Council
- Awarded IBM Reseller of the Year for 2007
